U14, U17, U21 Teams
Would all skiers who wish to be considered for the above Oz/Kiwi Teams, please email to krfirth@xtra.co.nz by Wed 24th November 2021, the following details;
· Which Team you wish to apply for.
· Date of Birth (Teams based on age at 30th June 2021).
· No need to send in scores as we will use the NZ Ranking List. Please check that list and advise me of any relevant scores that are not included. We use 6 best performances in each event from last 2 seasons and no more than 3 from any one site in each event. Preference given to scores from L Grade tournaments. Exceptions may be made for injury etc, but only after all existing eligible scores are exhausted.
· If Ranking List is unable to supply 6 scores in each event, please advise reason why, eg. recently started jumping, injury etc. Particularly for newer U14 skiers, if you`ve rapidly improved or have limited tournament scores, please supply name of coach or independent person that we can contact to discuss your level of improvement.
When putting your name forward, please make the following assumptions; Oz/Kiwi will likely only go ahead if we have an MIQ free travel bubble with Australia and you will need to be vaccinated to travel to Australia.
U17 & U21 Worlds Training Squad
Due to the difficulty of organising coaching schools around Covid travel restrictions and low numbers of U21 skiers currently, it has been decided to have a combined U17 & U21 Worlds training squad of about 14 skiers with a majority in the U17 squad. The U17 Worlds will be held in Santiago, Chile, 25-31 Jan 2023. These are actually the 2022 Champs and as such are based on eligible age on 31st Dec 2021. A date/venue has not yet been confirmed for the 2023 U21 Worlds but eligible age will be on 31st Dec 2022.
