2020 Nationals in Wanganui

Hello All,

The tournament season is underway and no doubt everyone is working towards 2020 Nationals in Wanganui.

Planning and site preparation is well down the track. Wanganui Gold & Silver Star tournament was held in January and there were some great scores which is exciting for Nationals and was an opportunity to make sure everything was up and running.

Exciting news for Nationals is confirmation that Nautique NZ is our naming sponsor. This is in addition to their support for NZTWSA through the tow boat contract and demonstrates their commitment to our sport. A huge thanks to Nautique NZ.

The Nationals website for information and entry is about to go live. Entries close on 16th March and there has been lots of interest so we are expecting good numbers of competitors. It will be great to see first time competitors as well as those who have been around for years.

An important event during Nationals is the NZTWSA auction which will be on Friday 10th April. This is our annual fund raising opportunity for development of our junior skiers who are obviously the future of our sport. Each region is responsible for donations of auction items and should be busy finding as much as possible. In addition to raising funds this is a fun night and not to be missed.

Each competitor entry includes a t-shirt so please do not forget to tick the sizing box of your way through the entry process. As usual the design is top secret and will be revealed when you register on site. Additional t-shirts are also available to be purchased for family and supporters.

"Wanganui District Council Dog Control Bylaw 2015 states that all dogs are prohibited at Lake Wiritoa. Therefore, all dogs are prohibited on site and in the camping area. We thank you in advance for your compliance and understanding."

Good luck to everyone for tournaments and your training and look forward to catching up in April.

Kind Regards,

Iain Bill
